How does your media product represent particular social groups?I found a image whilst researching for my magazine which I liked, I thought that's the sort of image i want in my own magazine. I thought it had everything within it which connotes my audience, everything from his; gender, skin colour, clothes to the location of the shot. I tried to recreate the image show as the image on the right. Starting with the location of the image on the left I noticed how it was a urban/city concrete I thought this would connote middle class living. I wanted to use this because of the majority of my target audience will be within this class sector. With the locations I could use I chose this one because I thought it showed the same sort of roughness to it and to connote the same things as the image on the left. The Shot used in the first image is angled at eye level probably to connote how you are the same as him or equal to him, this was used because its targeting that audience, you could be one of his friends. I think its the same with how close the shot is this would be roughly where a friend might stand. Within my shot I tried to use this I tilted the camera so the shot was slightly higher then but I wanted my model sitting down slightly connoting the sometimes seen negative stereotype of teenagers being lazy. I wanted to use the typical model for my target audience a white medium length hair medium height to appeal to the largest audience within the target audience. You can't draw to many conclusions or stereotypes from my model apart from the basic stereotyping of the average British college student. my model is positioned sitting on the bench much like the image on the left but I wanted to connote my to my audience how my artist is more closed and the idea that he is to cool to pose for the camera.
